Runyon Appointed To National County Organization Vets Committee

Wasco County Commissioner Rod Runyon has been appointed to the National Association of Counties’ Veterans and Military Services Committee.  That panel engages member counties to develop and highlight county best practices and policies to promote programs, services, and benefits for the nation’s military, veterans, and their families.  Runyon has been active in local Veterans activities by being involved with the Wasco County Veterans Advisory Committee and the Mid-Columbia Veterans Memorial Committee.  He is also Captain of the local Patriot Guard unit, and co-chairs the Association of Oregon Counties’ Veterans Committee.
