Wasco County Commission Chair Scott Hege is emphasizing that money other taxing districts might receive from agreements for proposed large solar projects in the south part of the County will not be taken away for an endowment fund Commissioners are considering using tax abatement funds from recent Google agreements for.  Hege says there is no intention to do that.  Hege notes they are making changes to the endowment fund ordinance to make it clear where the funds for it would come from.  He says those will be posted to the County website soon.  The Commissioners will discuss the subject again at its September 23 meeting.
