Youth Center Drawings To Be Unveiled

Architectural drawings for a proposed Gorge Youth Center will be unveiled at land dedication of its location on Saturday.  ACTS International Executive Director Joe Martin says the plans incorporate areas for a café, indoor fieldhouse, running and walking track, computer lab, and auditorium.  A capital campaign is underway, as the project will not use any tax-based funding, and a steering committee is in place to lead the effort.  The property located behind Motel 6 and Coastal Farm and Ranch at Seventh and Myrtle Streets in The Dalles was donated.  The land dedication will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon.  A website has been established at gorgeyouthcenter.org.
