WS Council Sends STR Ordinance Back To Committee

The White Salmon City Council has sent back its short-term rentals ordinance to the Community Development Committee for more revisions.  Mayor David Poucher thinks they are about 95 percent of the way to getting the ordinance where they want it, but the Council wants to be sure the ordinance meets their intentions.  The committee is being asked to do some “wordsmithing,” and then send it back to Council.  The ordinance is providing for a $75 fee for registering a short-term rental in White Salmon as officials try to get a handle on how many STR’s are actually in the City.  Poucher expects the ordinance to come back to the Council either late this month or early in December.
