Wind Challenge Set For Readiness Center

Google and Columbia Gorge Community College are partnering in their second annual Student Wind Challenge this weekend in The Dalles.  The event has doubled in size this year, with over 200 students part of 40 middle and high school teams.  Google’s Dave Karlson says the challenge is to build the best wind turbine.  The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center adjacent to the CGCC campus in The Dalles  There will also be a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Fair, with the University of Oregon and OMSI taking part.
