Higher temperatures and easterly winds caused an uptick in activity on the Whisky Creek Fire southeast of Cascade Locks, and increased smoke is expected today with the Red Flag conditions. Northwest Interagency Incident Management Team 12 officials report there has been minimal fire growth, but firefighters are well prepared for any increase in activity. Crews continue to monitor and patrol, looking for heat near the fire perimeter. Acreage burned in the fire remains at 2,105 acres, while containment stayed at 25%. Two handcrews were arriving to assist on the fire.
