Wheeler Settles In As HR City Manager

Hood River’s new City Manager is getting settled into his new position.  Steve Wheeler has a lengthy history in Portland area government, with experience in Tualatin, Clackamas County, and with the regional Metro agency.  Wheeler says while Hood River is the smallest city he has worked in, but he thinks it feels like a bigger location.  Wheeler notes one of the bigger challenges coming to a smaller city is the need to do things yourself at times, adding he understands that and it’s part of the deal in a job like he is undertaking, noting it is also very satisfying.
