Washington Election Filing Next Week

Next week will be filing week for Washington’s August primary election.  Local positions open in both Klickitat and Skamania counties include Commissioner and PUD board positions, Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, and Treasurer.  Filings will be taken at the Klickitat County elections’ office in Goldendale next week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and at the Skamania County elections’ office in Stevenson between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  Both counties also offer on-line filing at their websites.  Candidates for multi-county or statewide offices need to file with the Washington Secretary of State’s office.
