Wasco County Commissioners were briefed on a solar energy project planned for the Bakeoven area that is currently in the planning stages. Savion Energy, a Shell Group portfolio company, has applied with the Oregon Energy Facilities Siting Council for a permit to construct an 800 Megawatt solar farm that may include up to 800 Megawatts of battery energy storage.
