WAGAP Mobile Food Pantry Starts Thursday

Washington Gorge Action Programs will debut its new mobile food pantry on Thursday. On the first Thursday of every month, the pantry will be at Wishram School from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Dallesport Community Center from noon to 2 p.m., and the Lyle Lions Club from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The third Thursday of every month it will also go to the Trout Lake Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the BZ Corner Community Building from noon to 2 p.m. WAGAP Nutrition Programs manager Janeal Booren says their new mobile food truck will hold eight pallets of food. Booren adds they plan to add a Skamania County route in October. WAGAP’s food pantries in Bingen, Goldendale, Klickitat, and Stevenson remain open during the same hours they have been in the past.
