Oregonians planning on leaving for the winter or going away for college prior to ballots being mailed should go their local elections office and update their voter registration with their absentee address to ensure they receive ballots in a timely manner.  Ballots for out of state voters are mailed earlier and ballots are not forwardable.  Out of country and military ballots will be mailed September 23, with out of state ballots mailed October 10.  The last day to register to vote in the November 8 election is October 18, and in-state ballots will be mailed October 19.
