The Dalles Skate Park now has lights.  Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation District put in the concrete bases about a month ago, and the lights were operational late last week.  District Executive Director Scott Baker says the new lights will improve the facility while not disturbing the adjacent neighborhood.  The pump track, skate bowl, and street side are all lit well enough to ride, but they’ve shielded the lights so it is dark a few feet away.  Baker said it didn’t take long for the lights to get use, noting a birthday party was held there the night the lights were ready for operation.
