TD Warming Place Seeks Volunteers

The Dalles HOPE Warming Place is seeking volunteers to help operate the overnight cold weather shelter this winter.  Warming Place organizer Ed Elliott says they use two volunteers each night they operate, and could use more to spread out the work among more people.  The Dalles Warming Place operates out of the St. Vincent dePaul dining room on at 315 West 3rd from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on nights when the temperature including wind chill is 30 degrees or lower, or 35 degrees if there is precipitation. Those who would like to volunteer can call Elliott at 541-386-5857.
