TD City Offering Local Government Academy This Fall

The City of The Dalles will be offering its Local Government Academy for a second time this fall.  The academy is a free program open to those interested in learning more about and getting involved with The Dalles city government.  Assistant to the City Manager Matthew Klebes says it is an ideal program for those interested in volunteering to serve on municipal committees or commissions.  Participants will attend sessions with every City department.  The first class is set for September 10 in The Dalles City Hall.  Applications are due by August 30, and are available at the City of The Dalles website.
