“Suspicious Item” Found At HRMS Turns Out To Be PVC Pipe

The Hood River County School District says what was described as a “suspicious item” found on Hood River Middle School property on Friday morning was not a threat.  According to a statement made by the district on its Facebook page, a staff member at the school found the item, and the district notified Hood River Police, who found it a piece of PVC pipe and was not a safety threat.  Buses were routed to a different location for morning drop-off and students were moved to the opposite side of campus from the object.
