Work continues at Sorosis Park in The Dalles, with a new irrigation system going in and the re-planting of grass in a number of lawn areas.  Northern Wasco Parks and Recreation District Executive Director Scott Baker says the area visible from Scenic Drive will be improved when this phase of work takes place from mid-September to mid-October.  Baker adds Crestline Construction is the contractor for the project.  This phase is costing a little over a million dollars, with both the City of The Dalles and Wasco County contributing $400,000 apiece to the project.
