There are still two close races for seats on the Stevenson City Council as ballots continue to be counted in Skamania County, but one margin has increased while the other narrowed. Jennifer Collins Taylor’s lead for position four jumped as she has 186 votes to 169 for Scott Anderson, while Mark Peterson’s lead for position five dropped by two, 169 to 165 over Glenn Morris. The Stevenson/Carson School District’s two-year maintenance and operations levy is passing 965 to 693, while Brad Liedtke had tallied 760 votes for position five on that district’s board to 638 for Jean Foster. Two Port of Skamania County board seats were contested, with Kevin Waters leading Fran Breeding for position one 983 to 709, and Todd Kingston was outpolling Keith Chamberlain for position three 907 to 719.
