Adam Renk, accused of multiple sex offenses in both Wasco County and Alabama, has turned himself into the authorities in Mobile, Alabama. Wasco County District Attorney Matthew Ellis says bond was denied for Renk following a Wednesday hearing. Renk will continue to be held in Alabama. By turning himself into the authorities, Renk ended a month-long nationwide manhunt that included state and federal law enforcement agencies. The Wasco County District Attorney’s Office has a warrant for Renk’s arrest on charges of Unlawful Sexual Penetration, Sodomy, and Sex Abuse. Ellis said his office is working on obtaining a governor’s warrant to ensure that Renk is transported back to Wasco County after the conclusion of his Alabama case. He adds at this time, there is no time frame for disposition on the Alabama matter or Renk’s return to Wasco County. Anyone with information about possible additional victims is asked to contact Detective Jeff Hall at the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office at 541-506-2580 or OSP Detective Cassie Bantz through dispatch at 800-442-0776 or by dialing *OSP, or *677, on a mobile phone.
