Public Memorial For Anderson On September 16

The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office announced that a public memorial celebration for Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Anderson will be held on September 16 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hood River Valley High School gymnasium.  Anderson passed away August 25 after battling cancer.  Anderson was with the Sheriff’s Office for 16 years, serving in that time as a Marine Deputy, Search and Rescue Coordinator, Patrol Deputy, and Trainer.  Beginning Tuesday memorial contributions to the Hood River County Mike Anderson Search and Rescue Fund can be made at any U.S. Bank branch, with all proceeds going to Hood River County Search and Rescue.  The family also encourages support of the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation.
