Wasco County Commissioners once again approved an outdoor mass gathering permit for the “What The” Festival scheduled for this coming June at Wolf Run Ranch about 10 miles southwest of Dufur.  Commissioner Scott Hege says the proposal for the event was the same as last year, noting a change in hours helped reduce noise issues.  He said the County received only two noise complaints during last year’s festival.  While there was some opposition to the permit, many at the hearing were in favor of approving it, noting economic benefits to the area and stating the event is very well organized.
