Parkdale Man Arrested And Charged In Stabbing

A 38-year-old Parkdale man was arrested by the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office and charged in the stabbing of his brother.  The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office says Leif Andrew Sorensen was arrested and lodged at NORCOR on charges of first degree assault and attempted murder.  The Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the 5600 block of Trout Creek Ridge Road after receiving a 9-1-1 call from 35-year-old Hans Severinsen, who reported being stabbed in the chest by his brother.  Sorensen was located about one mile away and taken into custody without incident.  The Sheriff’s Office says Severinsen was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, where is listed in critical condition.  Sorensen made an initial court appearance in Hood River County Circuit Court on Monday morning, with bail set at $100,000 and another court appearance scheduled for November 19.
