Overturned Truck Closes Portion Of Highway 14

Both directions of Washington Highway 14 between Dallesport and Maryhill have reopened after they were closed for a few hours Wednesday due to an overturned semi-truck.  According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the truck spilled a load of manure near Wishram at milepost 92.  Traffic was detoured to Interstate 84 in Oregon via Highways 197 and 97.  The accident occurred around 10:40 a.m., and the road reopened at around 3:20 p.m.  The Washington State Department of Transportation indicated the truck was carrying approximately 27 tons of chicken manure.
