Due to staffing issues, Mid-Columbia Medical Center is temporarily stopping its medical oncology services at Celilo Cancer Center effective on February 28. MCMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jayant Eldurkur says other services at Celilo Cancer Center will continue. Eldurkur says they are actively working to restore the medical oncology services as soon as they can. He says patients affected are being contacted by MCMC, and they are seeking partners to continue treating them. He also said MCMC’s impending affiliation with Adventist Health should help in recruitment of new medical oncology staff.
