Leaders For Tomorrow May Come To D21

Thanks to a grant to The Next Door, Inc. from the Ford Family Foundation…the Leaders for Tomorrow program is looking to expand into North Wasco County School District 21.  The program that introduces high school juniors and seniors to community building has been offered in Hood River County for a number of years. Program director Kristin Reese says she is working with D-21 officials to get the program started at The Dalles High School as soon as next year.  In the Leaders for Tomorrow program, high school juniors take a series of field trips one day a month to visit different types of businesses and governmental agencies, and seniors do a service learning project they select that will have a community impact.
