Kramer Field Maintenance Discussions Continue

Talks continue on who will end up handling maintenance for the Kramer Field baseball and softball fields in The Dalles.  Wasco County owns the land, and its agreement with Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation District for upkeep has expired.  County Commissioners have now had two meetings with Kramer Field users, and Commissioner Phil Brady says fellow Commissioner Scott Hege has been handling talks with the parks district.  But Brady says the default is for the County to pick up the work, noting those who use Kramer Field want to see it improved for area youth.  Brady said gopher holes and goatheads on the fields are among the issues that need to be addressed.
