Klickitat County Establish Burn Ban In East End Of County Starting May 1

Klickitat County is establishing a ban on outdoor burning in its burn ban zone one from May 1 to September 30.  Klickitat County Burn Ban Zone One defined as lands East of the Klickitat County Fire District 7 eastern boundary to include but not limited to Klickitat County Fire Districts #2, 9 and 10, except for Yakama Indian Nation and Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission lands.  Residential barbecues will be allowed.  The public should check with the appropriate authorities concerning burning restrictions within the corporate limits of any city or town.  The Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management recently created new County burn ban zone designations.  Maps are available at the Emergency Management Department website.
