Klickitat County’s new emergency communications dispatch center is now operating.  County dispatchers moved into their new location late last week.  County Commissioner David Sauter says there have been a few glitches in the move, but the system is up and running, noting it will provide much better communications coverage than they had in the past.  Sauter added there was some discussion of delaying implementation with the onset of fire season, but he said both law enforcement and fire officials in the County indicated it was important to get the new system up and running.
