Hood River County Commissioners and the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District Board discussed athletic field needs at a joint meeting.  Community needs and operational costs were a major part of the talks.  County Administrator David Meriwether says an analysis to be done in conjunction with various entities will move forward, part of which will include determining how much current facilities are being used and whether they are at full capacity.  Meriwether indicated an element of public polling to determine level of support for athletic field development will be included in the analysis, which will probably take the summer to put together.
