House Damaged By Fire In The Dalles

A house in The Dalles was damaged by fire Wednesday morning.  According to Mid-Columbia River and Rescue, crews responded to a structure fire at 2311 West 10th Street on Wednesday at 12:43 a.m.  Crews arrived to find a single family dwelling with a fully involved kitchen fire extending to other sections of the structure.  Occupants were home at the time of the fire but escaped unharmed.  Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze and were off scene at 4:00 a.m.  MCFR officials indicate the most probable cause of this fire was an unattended pan left on the stove while cooking.  Dallepsort Fire District assisted MCFR on the fire.
