Barb Hosford has resigned from the Hood River County School District Board of Directors, citing health reasons.  Hosford said in her resignation she wanted to give the district a chance for a fair and active board position, and does not feel she can do that right now.  District is now taking applications to fill the remainder of Hosford’s term in the positon 2 seat, which expires at the end of June.  Position 2 represents much of the westside and southern portion of Hood River.  A map of the boundary area is available at webmap.hoodrivercounty.gov.  Applications are posted at the district website at hoodriver.k12.or.us, and are due in by October 21 at 4 p.m.  The district board aims to pick a replacement at its October 23 board meeting.  To inquire about the position call School Board Administrative Assistant Meghan West at 541-387-5013.
