Hood River Valley Evacuation Advisories Lifted; I-84 Corridor Stays On Level 1 Due To Flash Flood Advisory.

With rain reducing threats from the Eagle Creek Fire, the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office has lifted all evacuation advisories in the Hood River Valley.  That means zones A4b, A5, A6, A7, B4, B5, B6, and B7 return to normal.  Due to a flash flood advisory for the Interstate 84 corridor, exit 56 all the way west to the county line will remain on Level One “be ready” notice.  That includes the Cascade Locks, Wyeth, and Viento areas.  Travelers also should be aware of the potential dangers associated with the flash flood advisory.  All evacuation notices for the public lands around Lost Lake are being lifted, but all Hood River County forest lands, roads, and trails are closed, as are all federal forest lands north of Mt. Hood and west of Highway 35.
