Homeless Shelter Donation Needs

Now that the homeless shelter established on Bargeway Drive in The Dalles has been operating for a period of time, there are needs that the community can help through donations.  Darcy Long-Curtiss helped organize the shelter, and says they could use water-proof gloves, and storage bins to help organize their donations.  Donations can be made at the shelter site at the staff trailer, or at Mid-Columbia Community Action office in The Dalles at 312 East 4th.  The Community Action office is closed, but people can call them at 541-298-5131 and they will come to the door to take the donation.
