Highway 14 Accident Leaves One Dead

One person is dead as the result of a head-on collision on Highway 14 in eastern Klickitat County on Saturday evening.  According to the Washington State Patrol, a car driven eastbound on Highway 14 crossed the centerline at milepost 151 east of Alderdale and struck a westbound SUV head-on.  The WSP report says the driver of the car was killed in the accident.  The 35-year-old Pasco man has not yet been identified, pending notification of next-of-kin.  The driver of the SUV, a 66-year-old woman from Kennewick, was taken by Lifeflight to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
