Grasshopper Fire officials say while the fire did move west last night, it has not crossed Highway 35.  California Complex Incident Management Team 6 Operations Section Chief Anthony Rapoza says the fire intensity should lessen as it nears the highway.  Fire Behavior Analyst John Fisher says the fire pushed out of Badger Creek across Bennett Ridge, and it is slowly backing down toward Highway 35.  He added everything on the ridge above Lookout Mountain is holding.  Although the fire remains several miles away, structural task forces completed triage around Mt. Hood Meadows Resort.  Fire lines to the south and east continue to hold.  The fire has burned 39,439 acres, and containment is at 20%.  The Mount Hood National Forest issued a new closure order for the area.  Hood River County has not made any changes to evacuation levels as of this morning, including Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation remains in effect for areas south of Forest Road 44, including Mount Hood Meadows.
