The Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District is closing in on getting a construction manager and general contractor lined up for the Thompson Park swimming pool project.  District director Scott Green says negotiations are continuing on a final contract, but they should be wrapped up soon.  He adds they want to see dirt moving in June, with demolition starting in the middle of that month and the beginning on construction in mid-July.  Voters last year approved a three-point-seven million dollar bond measure to replace the Ted Walker Memorial Swimming Pool.
