Food Banks Seek Donations

Food banks in the Mid-Columbia are seeking food and monetary donations because of high demand as unemployment rises. The Columbia Gorge Food Bank is currently taking individual food donations at Fred Meyer in The Dalles, and those who would like to may larger food donations can call their office at 541-370-2333. Cash donations can be made through the Columbia Gorge Food Bank website or by mailing it to 3610 Crates Way in The Dalles, zip code 97058. All online donations go to hunger relief partners in Wasco, Hood River, and Sherman counties.
