The Devil’s Butte Fire is now at 60% containment.  Size of the fire is now listed at 2,865 acres.  A Type III command team will remain on site for at least a couple of more days.  Firefighters are continuing to look for hotspots and mop-up the fire area within 50 to 100 feet of the containment lines.  Air resources remain available to assist ground crews if needed.  There will continue to be potential of unburned pockets of fuels within the fire area to burn and produce smoke.  Some residents are still without power in the fire area, but fire officials say work on restoring power to these properties is continuing.  Highway 206 is open through the fire area, but motorists are asked to drive carefully as there will continue to be fire resources on the roadways.
