Boys Basketball

Hood River Valley 72, Canby 59:  HRV used a dominant first half to win the Northwest Oregon Conference opener for both teams.  The Eagles led by as many as 32 points on the way to a 45-16 halftime lead, and the Cougars got no closer than 12 the rest of the night.  Sawyer Clemett had 17 points and Zak Poole 16 to lead HRV.

Canby 63, Hood River Valley 44:  Allie Mead scored 28 points as the fourth-ranked Cougars gradually pulled away from the Eagles.  Marina Castaneda scored 27 to lead Hood River.
