The process to establish the budget for the 2014-15 school year in the North Wasco County School District 21 is underway. Superintendent Candy Armstrong is hoping this budget represents the beginning of the district leaving a pattern of cutting program to beginning to recover some of what has been lost. Armstrong says the district would like to restore some full-time positions at both the high school and middle school while dealing with growing elementary schools, while at the same time looking at everything the district does to find improvement. The D-21 budget committee will meet for the first time in early May.
