D21 Budget Committee Receives Fiscal Plan

North Wasco County School District 21’s budget committee received the proposed 2014-15 fiscal plan at their first meeting on Tuesday.  The budget includes adding the equivalent of 14-point-seven full-time positions, with nearly four of those to establish the new Wahtonka Community School opening in July.  Chief Financial Officer Randy Anderson says the breakdown is slightly weighted toward teaching positions.  Many of the committee questions related to the goals in D-21’s achievement compact, and how the staff additions will help the district reach them.  The committee meets again on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Wahtonka campus.
