The City of Hood River will hold an open house Wednesday morning on the status of the State Street urban renewal project. Interim City Manager Ross Schulz says they are closing in on shutting the project down by the end of May as planned. But it appears curbs and gutters won’t be done by then, and Schulz notes those could be finished with minimal inconvenience in the summer without street closures. They would involve some sidewalk detours. Wednesday’s open house begins at 8 a.m. in Hood River City Hall.
