April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Columbia Gorge Children’s Advocacy Center is encouraging people to wear a blue ribbon in recognition of that.  The Center’s Debi Baskins says blue ribbons have become the national symbol of child abuse prevention.  Baskins says blue ribbons will be available at Safeway in Hood River, Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, A Kidz Dental Zone, Hood River Community Education, Kidsense, The Next Door, Inc., and Northwest Pediatrics.  The Columbia Gorge Children’s Advocacy Center will hold an open house at its facility at 1340 Wasco Street in Hood River on Wednesday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
