Girls Soccer The Dalles 9, Redmond 0:  Giselle Manzo scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Riverhawks in their season opener.  Emma Weir tallied a pair of goals while Alexia Tapia and Brooke McCall chipped in one apiece.   Boys Soccer The Dalles 3, Redmond 0:  The Riverhawks scored a pair of early goals and never looked back to give Matthew Dallman a win in his head coaching debut.   Volleyball Hood River Valley def. Redmond 25-15, 25-14, 25-15:  The Eagles went to Central Oregon to win the opener of a season of high expectations for the defending Columbia River Conference champions. Country Christian def. Dufur 25-9, 25-12, 25-14   Boys Water Polo Hood River Valley 18, David Douglas 7:  J.J. Mears scored four goals in the Eagles’ season opener.  Seven different HRV players scored goals in the contest.   Girls Water Polo Hood River Valley 15, David Douglas 2:  Jamie Robinson led the Eagles’ offensive onslaught with five goals, while Rose Finstad and Faith Ocheskey scored four each.  Ocheskey also delivered five assists.
