Baseball The Dalles 12, Pendleton 11:  The Dalles scored six runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good, and held on as the Buckaroos made a late comeback.  Clay Copper had two doubles and four runs batted in for the Eagle-Indians, while Austin Wilson also drove in four.  The Eagle-Indians were aided by nine Pendleton errors.  The Dalles swept the series from the Buckaroos, and are two games back of Columbia River Conference leader Hermiston.   Hermiston 7, Hood River Valley 4:  The Bulldogs scored four runs in the first inning, and the Eagles could not climb out of that hole.  Patrick Harvey had two hits and drove in two runs for HRV.   Woodland sweeps Stevenson 21-2 and 21-1. Mac-Hi sweeps Goldendale 8-5 and 5-2.   Softball Hood River Valley 7, Hermiston 4:  The Eagles were able to hold off a pesky Bulldogs team to sweep the three-game series.  Tabitha Merten drove in two runs as HRV stays one game behind Pendleton in the Columbia River Conference race.   Pendleton 3, The Dalles 0:  The Buckaroos’ Hailey Kline pitched a shutout and struck out 10 to keep Pendleton’s one game lead atop the CRC standings. Woodland swept Stevenson 15-0 and 15-0.   Track and Field Hood River Valley topped The Dalles in both boys’ and girls’ Columbia River Conference duals.  HRV’s Wyatt Webber and Parker Kennedy each won two events for the Eagle boys, while Yasmin Hill won a pair for The Dalles’ girls.   Goldendale finished third among boys’ teams and fourth among girls’ squads at an SCAC meet in Highland.  The Timberwolves’ Brian Golding won the boys’ 300 meter hurdles.   Boys Tennis Hood River Valley 8, St. Helens 0   Girls Tennis Goldendale 3, Columbia 2:  The Timberwolves won two out of three doubles matches to grab the win.   Boys Soccer Columbia 2, Toledo 0 King’s Way Christian 3, Stevenson 0   Boys Lacrosse Hood River Valley 12, Grant 9:  The Eagles move to 2-1 in the Columbia League of the Oregon High School Lacrosse Association.
