CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, is looking for volunteers in Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties.  CASA director Susan Erickson says they have a number of foster children who need someone to stand up for them in court proceedings.  “CASA 101” talks are scheduled for this coming Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at Planetree Health Resource Center in The Dalles, and May 15 at 5:15 p.m. at the Sherman County Extension Office in Moro.  Volunteer training is to begin later this month.  Go to gorgecasa.org for more information.
