Resurfacing Work Planned For 10th Street In The Dalles

Resurfacing work on two segments of 10th Street in The Dalles will continue next week.  Public Works crews will work on West 10th from Mt. Hood Street to the Mill Creek Bridge and East 10th from Union Street to Kelly Avenue.  Beginning Tuesday at 6 a.m., both segments of 10th Street will be closed to all travel for grinding of the old surface.  On Wednesday, the East 10th segment between Union and Kelly will remain closed for paving until about 7 p.m., and residents will need to park in the rear of housing or on side streets.  And on Thursday the stretch of West 10th from Mt. Hood Street to the Mill Creek Bridge will remain closed for paving until around 4 p.m., and again residents will have to park in the rear of housing or on side streets.  Motorists will be encouraged to use 6th, 9th, and 12th streets as alternative routes.
