Fire burned a structure off of Country Way on the west side of The Dalles on Saturday afternoon.  Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue officials said crews responding to the scene were met with active fire and light to dark brown smoke coming from the structure.  Weather conditions did push the fire into trees near the structure and posed a threat to the nearby wildland area.  No one was injured and the occupants of the fire made it out safely.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  MCFR units were assisted by crews Mosier and Wy’east fire departments, while Klickitat EMS were on standby for medical calls.
