Scam Education Program Thursday At Hood River Valley Adult Center

There will be an educational program this Thursday at the Hood River Valley Adult Center on preventing fraud, scams, and elder abuse.  “Six Signs It’s A Scam” will start with a resource fair from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a presentation by Oregon Office of the Attorney General Director of Consumer Outreach & Education Director Ellen Klem from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Klem says there’s a variety of ways scammers try to take our identities and money, but the basics of all of them are the same.  It’s a free event open to all.  You can RSVP by calling 541-705-4870 or emailing rhyde@gobhi.org.
