The Hood River City Council will hold a moment of silence at its meeting Monday evening for recently passed Councilmember Tim Counihan. Counihan recently died at his home at the age of 65. Counihan attended Council meetings up until the time of his death, continuing to serve on the panel he had been on since January 2019. He also filled a vacant seat in the latter part of 2016. Counihan was a research biologist, focused on interdisciplinary research in aquatic ecosystems. There will be an opportunity at Monday evening’s meeting for Councilors and members of the audience to share words in his memory.
