Wasco County Seeks DHS Grant To Update Emergency Ops Plan

Wasco County will be applying for a grant from the Oregon Department of Human Services to help fund an update to the Wasco County Emergency Operations Plan.  DHS recently received $10 million in funds from the Oregon Legislature for the Resilience Hubs and Networks Grant program.  County Emergency Manager Sheridan McClellan says the current emergency plan is out of date and in need of revision, and does not include incorporated cities in it.  Plans for the revision include incorporating city-specific addendums for incidents unique to their jurisdiction that is not covered by the basic plan.  Cost to do the revision work is estimated at $70,000.
